EXT - SKYLINE OF NEW YORK - NIGHT
INT - RESTAURANT - NIGHT
The fog descends into the night of New York while a restaurant blares jazz music and laughter fills up the street
PIKE, failing con man and bank robber walks through the door and takes his hat off
PIKE
[To bartender] How bout a scotch on the rocks
Pike, walks over to a man facing away, trench coat up and fedora hat covering his head
CLINT, a notorious Crime Lord, one of the biggest across New York turns around. With a cigarette in his mouth and a thick New York accent starts talking to Clint
CLINT
Want a butt?
PIKE
I’m good, I just want to tip a few. Evangeline, she’s coming round. Says she wants to talk, won’t tell me what.
CLINT
Yeah, [taking a smoke] I called her up, wanted to see what her opinion was on joining. Could do with a woman, she seems to have changed your unsuccessful days around don’t she. I mean you weren’t getting anything before
PIKE
Alright alright. She’s alright to knock off a few people, said she’s done it before, won’t tell me where or who.
EVANGELINE, a beautiful, deceptive trouble seeking temptress walks over to the door and flashes her teeth surrounded by dark lipstick. Evangeline’s dress flows behind her as her heels click.
EVANGELINE
Alright boys? [To Bartender] I’ll have a martini, dry. Thanks doll!
CLINT
Whats a broad like you doing in New York?
EVANGELINE
I’ll have you know I lived here for a few years, got a lotta memories round here
CLINT
What made you take off
EVANGELINE
Oh don’t you worry about that [asks bartender for another drink as she slips her coat off]
PIKE
Shall we get down into business then
CLINT
[Taking a drink] so, whatya want
EVANGELINE
I want to be part of the big plan, I know you have something coming up and I want in
CLINT
There’s a guy, outside in a blue coat with a black fedora. He owes me money, 4 grand and I’m not a waiter. Knock him off.
Clint finishes his drink and turn around to get another
Evangeline put her coat on and, leaves the room into the -
ALLEY WAY
- pulling a gun out of her coat and walks out.
A gun shot sounds and everything is quiet except for the jazz music in the background. Camera shows femme fatale heels clicking as she walks back into the restaurant.
CUT TO ALLEY WAY
PIKE
So, what do you think?
CLINT
Well, what can I say? She did a good job, can't say no. Meet me tomorrow in the Carpe Vino at 8.
PIKE
We'll be there
CLINT
oh, and - FLICKS PIKE A CIGGARETTE - light a cigarette, you stress too much
CLINT WALKS AWAY
PIKE stands for a bit thinking before lighting a cigarette and walking away
SHOWS EVANGELINE PUTTING MORE LIPSTICK ON
Dissolves to:
HOME
EVANGELINE
So, what he say
PIKE
He said he wants to meet tomorrow
EVANGELINE
[Putting on lipstick and lighting a cigarette] That’s perfect. Now I gotta pick out a dress.
Evangeline puts a record on the record player and a slow jazz song comes on.
Pike loads a gun and stashes it in his bag. - Evangeline starts to hum as she looks for a dress to wear.

Throughout filming we made many changes as you can see in contrasts between the script and film and location shots being changed however we kept the idea and story line the same as much as possible.
