Genre & representation of women: The movie of THG is action, fantasy and adventure and is set in a dystopian. This is because from the title we know that it is an actual Hunger Games and that from her costume, background colour we assume it is future. However it could be argued that due to her choice of weaponry (arrow & bow) it could be set in the past. The representation of women in this poster is shown as powerful, the character Katniss Everdeen, and actress Jennifer Lawrence is shown as prominent as she takes up most of the poster and is the only character on it. In this poster the actress is shown as a Hollywood counter type rather than a stereo type, we know this from the fact that she is the only character on the poster and as she is holding up a weapon, the audience see that she is able to take care of herself rather than need someone to look after her as most female characters in hollywood do.
The colour red in the poster has connotations of blood, anger. The fire has connotations of destruction and death, this adds to the arrow which has connotations of war and a rebellion. JLawrence's pose in this poster is defensive, she is in attack mode and her facial expression is worried and nervous but ready to attack. The back of the poster is black and as is most of Jennifer Lawrence's outfit, this symbolises death, mystery, and destruction.
The target audience for this would be both male & females 12-24 years of age who enjoy action, adventure & fantasy.

Representation of women: The female actress Sanaa Lathan to be being held by another male co star which indicates she may depend on him/need him for a reason. The other male character who comes out of the dark, his facial expression is worried and concerned. As the tag line says trust one, we assume the one Sanaa Lathan trusts is the one holding on to her. Sanaa Lathan is shown to be wearing a skin tight shot dress where as both male characters are in a suit. This shows that the actress would be sexualised and maybe used as an appeal for both the men or, even to bring in more viewers.
Genre: The genre of this movie is thriller and drama, we can see this from the tag line 'trust one fear the other', also that the title, has a line through the word perfect which indicates there is no perfect guy and that as the line makes it look like it has been cut in half with a knife that maybe her assumed perfect guy is more dangerous than assumed. The title is in red which has connotations to blood and death. use of dark lighting on the left hand side of the poster depicts mystery.
This movie is for females ages of 15-24 year old as it has romance, drama and thriller in it.

Representation of women: In this film poster the actress, Margot Robbie is shown holding on to her male co star (will smith) as if she needs him. The actresses hand is half way into his jacket makes the pair look like they are in a relationship. The actress is hidden behind will smith as we only see her face and her hands which makes the audience assume she is slightly less important than her co-star. Margot Robbie's facial expression does not show much at all which gives us the impression to focus on the male a lot more than the actress. Margot Robbie's nails are painted to which may not seem a lot but give us the significance of instead of being smart and intellectual which you could gather from her co-star, she is a girly girl who fits the typical Hollywood women agenda.
Genre: Comedy, Romance Film, Crime film. We can see how it is romance from the posture of the two, but also as the background colour is white which is light and happy we could guess it is a comedy. Some people may feel it is a crime because instead of trying to be with the male she is stealing from him and must be invisible so she can get away easily.
This movie would be aimed at 17-late twenties aged females and males as it has comedy, romance and crime.
